Don, why you think Mxim doesn't anticipate this and manages the way lltc did ? If I remember correctly, John Gifford warned there will be inventory build up later in the year during CC two qs ago. He's just as good as Bob, if not better, IMO. :)

Because MXIM doesn't manage the same way as LLTC does, or at least hasn't in the past. Predicting an inventory buildup is not the issue, preventing or minimizing it is. This requires refusing orders, especially for multi-sourced products in distribution, and not using up fab resources in producing them only to see the orders cancelled. Time and MXIM's report will tell the tale.
