Jesse Jackster's "Lust Child" is yet one more symptom of his innate hypocracy.

He masquerades as a so-called "Reverend" and a master of race reconciliation, but he's the same guy who referred to New York City as "Hymie-Town" in the early 1980's. And he's the same guy who believes in remedial discrimination (affirmative action) where innocent Caucasian citizens are judged by the color of their skin, not the content of their character.

And he's also been a strong supporter of the Palestine Liberation Organization, viewed by some Jewish Organizations as a terrorist group. He also has conducted "foreign relations" missions, though he has never been elected to represent the U.S. in foreign relations.

And of course, he was Clinton's "spiritual advisor" during the Monica Lewdinsky scandal! Saw a spot in ABC News tonight where Jackson, at that time in 1998, was preaching in his "Reverend" role about resistin' temptation. Geeez. I just can't stop laughing at this crew of people! They all deserve each other.

This "coming out" of Jesse Jackson is a classic finale to the 8 years of Clinton/Gore ethical lapse.

Let the countdown begin until Clinton is outta there! Time to celebrate!!!! (Not so happy with Bush's ability to articulate, though, but you can't have everything).

Karin, you make some good points about the media focus on the men where affairs are concerned. I suppose in these two cases, Clinton and Jackson are more prominent figures than the women they had flings with, consequently, the disproportionate media focus on them.

Another factor is perhaps due to the roles men & women play in courtship. Because men normally are expected by society to "make the first move", perhaps men tend to bear more of the blame for instigating extra-marital liasons because most people assume the man initiated things. Granted there are women who initiate liasons too, but I'm talking about the statistical norm.

It seems some public figures lose touch with reality and begin to think of themselves as demi-Gods, e.g. Kennedy, Clinton, Jesse Jackster, Magic Johnson, etc. They are often prone to taking advantage of their position of power where wimmen are concerned.

You can bet George Bush is not of this mold and would not have an extra-marital affair because he's just kind of a likeable "putz" and doesn't seem to suffer from delusions of grandeur like the other idiots I mentioned, and yes, I include John F. Kennedy in that list.
