Its bullish for a few days, but when there is no good news in the forseeable future, and only more bad news, then after initial jump it slowly detiriorates.

I agree Mr. Cole.

And we can be sure that the Funds and Houses are running the show. Right now they want to play bull. But they reserve the right to turn bear at a moments notice.

The worst thing to do is to try to rationalize this development. If the markets were based on some kind of logical system we might all be cowering right now wondering when or how things will get better. If it shows anything at all, it shows that there is still an enormous amount of speculative interest in equities and the assets of corporate America and every invested citizens portfolio can be gambled without regard to economic circumstances.

As I've discussed with other investors on SI recently, the debt structure is much different now than in even the recent past and there is much more room allowed by our financial institutions for easy money and creative accounting/reporting methods.
So depending on corporate strategy, one can paint a rosey or gray picture 'going forward' as long as the end justifies the means.
