Jim I have a V2 3000, It a pretty good card for the price, but a TNT2 would be better. and a GX the best price/performance card.

re : is Voodoo 3 2000 a good card... It was fine for my system.. I'm a bit of a gamer, and at the time that was the card I decided to get, because it was economically priced compared to its 3000 and 3500 counterparts.. you cant really compare it I dont think with the newer offerings of NVIDIA... someone else mentioned they thought the TNT2 was better... thats probably true.. however at the time I got this card.. i was running a K6-2 400, and on an Asus Board which used an Aladdin chipset.. and those boards had a lot of well publicized instability with TNT2 based products.. so I decided to play it safe and go with the Voodoo since everyone reported it worked reliably.. I havent been disapointed with it at all.. playing Starcraft and Diablo II on it looks perfectly fine to me ;) However.. as 3DFX is being bought out by Nvidia.. but they arent taking over warranty work or driver support from them.. I figured it was time to get a product that wasnt going to need help from a bought out company for new drivers, support etc.. (I'm being a bit double-standardish there tho, since I have a Diamond MX-300 sound card, which uses an Aureal chipset... and Aureal as everyone knows went under and got bought out I believe by Creative Labs, while DIamond no longer produces sound cards... however.. I've been very happy with its performance.. and I dont see the need yet to go to an offering by Creative Labs, whose sound cards tend to be a bit steep in price).
