OT We operate in two different geographical sites and the other site is looking better with every passing day.

Our Internet connection is more reliable than the electricity. Btw, our Servers had their first downtime - and it was due to the power outage. No kidding.

Will companies make their expansion plans within a chaotic California? Probably not.

GV - Re:"Thus, even if you have a generator, diesel fuel may be hard to come by in another couple of weeks."

SFO usually has a 6 day supply of jet fuel. Because the pipelines have been down because of no electric power, this has been reduced to 2 days.

And it gets worse. Natural gas supplies are also short and gas shutoffs will follow. The industrial users are first under the rules and 2/3 of those are -- gas-fired electric plants.

Meanwhile the politicians are studying the issue and polls show that a majority of the people believe that the power shortages are a manipulation of the power companies to raise prices. It could not possibly be true that the power companies are short of money and can't buy accept on a cash basis.
