BC:

We were on very similar thinking paths. In fact, I will admit to being caught totally flat footed (and short) coming into what I knew would be very ugly "warnings", actual reported numbers and "guidance". I especially thought the "guidance" would send things further down the stairs. As Cramer would say "Wrong!!!!!!!!!". (g)

As you note, in the bigger picture, few things have changed and all bear market rallies reverse. We will both be there for the meal. (g)

best, Earlie

Yes, this is lunacy and begs to be shorted soon enough. Assuming the NASDAQ bounces here, and just now the bounce has not regained the technical high ground, the bulls should want SPX to confirm this move. It is still under its Sep 1 DT line which sits around todays open for SPX -- 1347 or so.

Bounce ongoing so that makes me happy for now, but my trepidation increases...

gotta bounce over NDX 2680 pdq
Got as high as 2679 (-g) and is now in think-mode...

SOX has to hold 720
Got there. Thinking now... I think if 720 dies again I will get out.

Hard for the NASDAQ to build if QCOM and SUNW don't want to help.

The BKX turn yesterday is showing a little follow-through. Got minefield?

My BTK is a beaut as well. Today's silliness brought it right back up to the long-term line that broke and then it proceded to drain right quick -- nice 30 point swing.

Damn good thing softie is a rocket or the DOW would really suck here.
