No one should be unchaperoned around children. And no one who isn't a parent ought to be troop leader. If a gay man or woman is a parent of a child in a troop he or she should be welcomed to participate. Just as a father of a daughter is more than welcome on a sleepover- but he won't be ALONE with the girls. Den mothers who go with boys on sleepovers shouldn't be alone with the boys either. Homosexual parents are no more dangerous than heterosexual ones- I think.
