*OT* Tradelite,

A lot of companies buy a certain amount of electricity for the year at a fixed price.
A few weeks ago on the news, I heard of an aluminum foundry that laid off it's work force because they could make more money (a lot more) by selling their elec. than producing their product. The foundry was selling their elect. for something like $50,000 per kwh. The company was going to profit something like 5 or 50 million dollars.

What a scam dereg. has turned out to be in Cal.
Oh well, they can only blame themselves.

Unfortunatly, I think everyone else stuck footing the bill.
Wheather it an extra fee per kwh used or the Fed. gov. paying it with tax dollar, we are going to pay, I'm afraid.
