hi paul

sorry so long in responding. i see that several members have provided helpful suggestions for your printer prob. i am looking forward to hearing if these bring resolution. if not, do stop back and we'll try more.

i wanted to compliment you on the manner in which you presented your problem to the thread. you gave the thread pretty good background info from which to work, including what things you have tried. this helps immensely. it can be quite frustrating when too little facts are given along with the problem.

believe it or not, i was going to ask if you had tried rebooting. <g> this simple step sometimes gets the printer back on course. another quick suggestion would be to shut the printer off and turn it back on. this has served to reset my canon printers on occasion.

please let us know if you get things restored.

:)

Paul,

In addition to Mr. Marks comments,...I have been given the same message from my printer when my processor is too busy,...for instance, if I have any more than 12 windows open with my P3-700. Closing the windows allows the printer to work again.
