Dave: It's possible to make tremendous money in OTC-BB, no doubt. One of my biggest plays was PNLK back in the spring of 1998, when it went from 1 to 8 in something like three weeks. Of course, it's trading around 3/8 now!

They're manipulated pretty systematically and in a fairly predictable way -- and we're approaching the season where they move them. Look at the recent action on the Nasdaq Small Cap: that's a prelude to the huge spikes that we'll see in lots of OTC-BB paper. The only thing to be sure of is that you're not late to the party, because they go down as fast as they go up--. (Of course, you know this, Dave, but newbies need to know that the OTC-BBs do a complete death spiral once they're played out.)

The worst thing about my being away for most of the past month is that a lot of my favorite small caps went vertical while I was gone. With the market the way it was back in December, I was too scared to accumulate them and let them sit in my account while I was offline. CTRA, PANL, HTEK, and IDCC have all doubled or better in the past few weeks. It's a shame, because I was especially intent on building significant positions in PANL and IDCC.
