Isn't that the point? The Q3 CC was the first example of a quarter where AMD had to swallow their pride and give negative guidance to the analysts, specifically they had to lower their targets due to market conditions and lack of Duron UMA chipsets.

They then came in solidly within the revised guidance of .50 to .60. AMD are giving much more reliable guidance than they did in the past, and they are being rewarded with increased investor confidence.
