Fabric content: 81% acrylic, 15% stretch nylon, 4% spandex i just read this in their web site.... disappointment !!!! if it is supposed to be a "sport" sox they should be made of cotton or the new fiber "proSecco" (or similar) some of them used in cross country skiing, so as to keep the body warm and yet allow perspiration flow through to reduce heat accumulation. castelli-us.com ProSecco ProSecco is more a concept than an actual fabric. The idea is to have a two layer woven fabric with microchannels that pulls excess heat and moisture away from the body allowing for a perfectly thermoregulated body temperature. We use this concept in summer jerseys, Progetto Y shorts and now we have expanded it to cold weather use with a new jersey and tight selection. The jersey material is much like our Spitech Plus, a soft fleece on the inside with a denser woven outer face. The outside is produced in a grid like pattern that allows moisture and excess heat to pass through. This grid also adds a waffle like insulation factor when a shell or jacket is worn over it. The main difference between ProSecco and Spitech is the ability of the fabric to maintain the correct body temperature. The ProSecco bibtights have specially worked polyester that creates two faces to the fabric. This two-layer system also houses the hollow cored strands that help retain performance temperature and moisture transpiration. The Q*Bert tights have the broadest range of any we offer.
