davidd- Uncle Al didn't know it wouldn't be a disaster, real or imagined. y2k certainly sold more US technology. But this 2) prime the pump some more needs further explanation...Just for the hell of it?...To what end?...What was the goal? What other explanation (other than y2k) was there for raising rates (under the guise of fighting/pre-empting inflation) while printing and pumping through the back door and thus creating further inflation?
