Hotmail, owned by Microsoft, runs FreeBSD (at least, last time I checked Netcraft). It's something that us Linux guys have giggled about for quite a while!

Last couple of days hotmail has been down and nothing goes thru. I have had to reconfigure my outlook express to stop receiving / sending thru hotmail.

Hope they get their act together. I have had this account for 5 years.

Hotmail is an MSFT thing, so I suspect there is some Exchange server back there somewhere in the scheme.

I use Earthlink with Outlook and have never, in years, had a single e-mail problem.
