15:49 ET Microsoft (MSFT) 60 15/16 +5 7/16 (+9.8%): Traders talking of an institutional rotation out of Cisco (CSCO -1 3/8) into Microsoft. Rationale is that Microsoft has already released, while Cisco exposes investors to another two weeks of potential hazards (e.g., negative comments by analysts, rumors of a miss, etc.)

People can differ.
1) could have bought Jan. 70's on Wednesday (I believe) for $262 per option. Could have sold Thursday at close to $462 per option for a profit in the neighborhood of $200 per option. 200 options yield a $40,000 profit.
2) for an option player, buying the stock is "not an option" in terms of potential return.
