Basically the problem with QFeed is that requests for historical data get queued and sometimes aren't serviced for a long time. Ticks are always served first

That's been my guess all the time, but unlike you had no need or desire to open up the API and have a look. I have enough of that in my other life. ;O

I have always wondered why QCharts doesn't first check its cached data (again, another assumption of mine) stored locally. It would sure reduce the hits on their servers.
