E! The last similar overdone markets, in my recollection were the '73-'74 and the '61-62 markets. The recovery from the '73-'74 decline (which ended either in Oct '74 or the repeat bottom in Dec 74) led to a lot of triples in stocks before February of '75...Looks like we have a similar run here. But that '75 recovery rally didn't last....I don't expect this one to do so either.. Fun while it lasts, though!

IMHO a large chunk of the updraught is attributable to tax loss sellers repurchasing position. Whereas the 4th Qtr of 2000 may have been the 'Mother of all tax loss selling seasons', the current Qtr may be the progeny (of nearly equal proportion). Don'tcha think?
