To Thread,

Call me naive, riding with blinders on or plain dumb but I think that 44% revenue growth, for a company of SUNW's size, is outstanding. In fact, going forward, 30-35% revenue growth is fantastic.

Can HWP, CPQ, DELL, or MSFT say the same. No, they currently reported having single to low teens growth rates. I am truly pleased with SUNW's performance and excited about their new software initiatives and USIII releases.

I know Quick is nervous about USIII's but I think that everything is pretty much on track. The days of rushing buggy or inferior product out the door to gain "an edge" are over. With SUN's visibility in the market today, to rush something out would be a mistake. Most enterprise applications have selected SUNW hardware as their platform of choice. A little delay is not going to change customers minds.

I look forward to SUNW growing revenues between 20%-40% over the next five to ten years. I would like to think that we have the next GE here. Nice consistent growth over a VERY extended period of time. That would make me very, very happy.

The fact that the street is penalizing SUNW for a 1% miss is o.k. We will get it back by providing stability in future quarters.

Today was all noice and the true money in SUNW will be made for those that stay long; just as in the past.

As E. Zander said, "look at the data" and "markt share gains". Thats what business is all about.

Bob.

Yeah, I know. The best kind of prediction is one where you can pretty much assure the outcome.

BTW, the reason I haven't been posting the past few days is that I have been at the hospital with my critically ill mother. Don't assume it has anything to do with Sun. My presence here for the next few days/weeks/??? is likely to be minimal.
