I agree, guidance and the tone of the con call will be key, not the actual numbers.

Honestly, I think you and others get too caught up in what does what. If there were any logic to this business, there would be a whole bunch of rich people who invested wisely and lived a life of luxury. What in MSFT's conference call would have foretold yesterday's action. Couple that with the dismal results and I expected a drop from all logical counts, even though I'm long softee since 95. The favor of the institutional money is what is necessary to move a stock. Those folks seem to change their minds daily, depending on what they ate last night, and whether they have heartburn. If the Fed cuts by .5 and CSCO reports decent earnings and projections, the stock should run. That would be logical. If .25 cut, good earnings, but lower projections, stock probably moves lower or stays put. Personally, I believe the worst news is priced in today. We'll see.knc

Now I know why bambs is so bullish these days:

This guy stole his point of view<vbg>:

"Using basic criteria to formulate the valuations, he indicates a price target of 18 3/4 for CSCO, 10 for EMC, 6 7/8 for ORCL and 4 1/2 for SUNW."
