I think that when you bomb a country back into the dark ages , and to the point that you poison even the drinking water intentionally. He must know that the infant and child death rate in Iraq is appalling and continues to be, and is a direct result of this bombing. If this does not cause him some inner guilt feelings then he must be some kind of robot. The excorcising is only my guess.
