<I'm afraid you would wear your fingers to a nub and not be able to post with the multiple key strokes.> Ahh, but imagine when voice input is available using QUALCOMM's PureVoice[TM]. No worn fingers then.

It will even be available via inductive coupling to nerves leading to tongue, lips and larynx so that no actual sound is needed and thinking the words would do the trick.

That will be the voice output.

The hearing input will be by way of direct stimulation of the cochlea with high fidelity.

Viewing will be by way of retinal scan. There could be two teeny cameras facing outwards, so that 3D images of whatever you are looking at could be sent via the phone. With nanotechnology, an excellent zoom function could be included and the images scanned onto your retina, so you would have telescopic 3D vision, just like Superman. When timedomain.com pulsed monocycles are included, you could have radar vision as well [the monocyle reflections being converted to shades of light and dark to give images through walls].

Globalstar will enable this service anywhere on earth.

I wonder if Nokia is busy designing those systems because that is what will sell! GSM and holding a phone will look like horse and gig from the 20th century.

PS: I'm glad you like the rants.
