To the thread: If anyone here or any lurkers decide to use the clean9x.bat file from the LangaPlus Letter pay attention to the instructions on how to change scandisk.alt to NDD.exe (norton Disk Doctor) within the downloaded batch file. I have NDD as my default scandisk program and got an error message upon reboot after running the batch file: Error [35] : Unexpected interrupt 0008 in C:\Windows\Command\Scandisk.alt at 0202 : 0070 code 1922 I failed to follow instructions(langa tells you to check the batch file to make sure everything is setup the way you have your system setup (ie. which scanner program you use)) and had to boot to safe mode (F5 key during reboot) to let scandisk run. Instructions and remedy are very simple if you read them. (maybe this is why I never could program my VCR) Alternate fix to avoid problem entirely....use windows scandisk as your default. Not an option I would choose...it takes too long. tc
