being the offspring of the mythical midwest itinerant gone-to-california-to-seek-our-fortune folk, i spent some of my youth in trailer parks; it was that strange time of post wwII dustbowl-with-a-differecne exodus. (my mother once pulled a 40 footer from topeka to l.a. in 24 hrs. behind an olds 98 - she occasionally did suspect pharmocological substances) to this day i use the term trailer-park-trash with a semblance of affection. it's kind of like the nostalgia i feel in relation to bowling alleys.

anyway, a recent event in truth or consequences, t or c, new mexico was interestingly classic. a double parked and unattended pickup used for pizza delivery rolled, mysteriously, downhill into an 18k gal. propane storage tank. the leaking propane ran down a wash into a trailer park where it was probably ignited by a pilot lite. minor injuries only, something like 17 'mobile homes' destroyed and the propane facility gone, gone, gone. i have to ask myself, too, why do aliens like trailer parks?

saw my osx stocks just at the edge of going thru highs last week and had to choose to take some short profits and miss a breakout, or hold on and chance the bouncedown. i held on and was a bit miffed at the result. but i can't believe that these stocks aren't worth owning here. the osx 110-115 area does look like very good long term support, which of course only means something rather mystical until it gets broken. did take some trading profits out of a few percent up on mvk and rolled them into a few k eee. thanks all for that one.

would value anyone's thots on recent push and pull between arugments over deflation vs. inflation. both seem strong. what happens to the p.o.g. in one or the other? we recently bought a fair number of gold coins and even though the value has backed off some i find such an incredible, but really inexplicable, comfort in having them. i think it is the t.p.t. part of my makeup that is entranced with the yellow dog. don
