To: RobQ Re: My willingness to help others

I was reading back over my comments from last night, and I just want to clarify a bit. I hope that I did not come off as unwilling to share any expertise that I may have in any area. If anyone is truly interested, I am more than willing to help anyone in any way that I can, to the best of my abilities and knowledge. I may have come off as defensive, and I hope this isn't misinterpreted as arrogance.

Any dissatisfaction anyone may have with ME and what I say HERE, I am more than willing to address HERE. Any dissatisfaction anyone may have with MTrader, please let's discuss that at MTrader.

It is not my intention to set myself up as a "guru", and frankly even that term I find nauseating. I do not know everything there is to know about trading. Far from it. I am learning and growing every day, and I hope that process continues until I die. In that light, I do not hold the same views and ideas today, that I held 4 years ago. In another 4 years I am sure I will have different views from today. I may even change my views tomorrow. That is life. That is trading. And that is what makes it so fascinating.

So please take anything I say, or for that matter what anyone says, with a grain of salt. These types of platforms can be so abused. And I understand human nature's desire to look for a leader. So please, it is my greatest wish to find a platform for "sharing" thought-provoking ideas, that engage our intellect and inspire us to think on our own, about ourselves and our trading. No one has all the answers, and there are a thousand perspectives on every view.

RobQ, Makes perfect sense to me.

From the thread header: "And most importantly, what can we do to change these bad
habits and remove emotion from our trading?"

Essentially my MATX trade is over for me as far as decision making goes. I don't have
it on paper, ( I should ) but I doubt I buy a stock back more than 10% of the time.

I think we are looking at two different animals here. Daytrading and short term
trading. I actually like long term the best, but it is up to the stock. Different types
of trading = different mind set.

Your point of regret factor hit me squarely. I have regretted selling both too soon and
too late. Wisdom says don't look back. I have. I have seen where I could have limited
my possible loss and been in on some really nice runs.. When I can take a gain and
maybe ride the wave, I take it.

Which category of trader do you fit in?
