<<I thought the Clinton airport scene was the most tasteless and disgusting display I have ever witnessed. To review the troops, >>

Yes, why was reviewing President George Walker Bush's troops?

Penni, Thanks for your kind response. I totally agree with it.

On a positive note, I thought GW's speech was excellent. His speaking skills and public persona have come a long way since almost two years ago when I saw him speak just before he announced his candidacy. I just hope that his theme of Civility, Courage & Compassion can reverse the trend of Divisiveness, Deceit & Dishonesty and me-me-me in the Clinton years.

Back to the negative, I sent Fox News Channel an e-mail expressing my displeasure with their carrying Clinton's post-presidency speech at the military base. It was my first communication with a news network, other than a few rants at CNBC. <g>

Rambi...you expressed my thoughts of the Clinton airport scene exactly....In addition to your observation that he needs a long term timeout....I was surprised to feel sorry for him for the the very first time. How very TERRIBLE to want attention so very much that he had to be SO rude, rude, rude and crass to get it....and the sad thing is he just doesn't think that anyone else can see that!

Some can't. And those some never will. But most of us saw it, and wish we hadn't.

Rambi,

Thanks for your venting.....I couldn't have said it any better!!! I think Clinton's actions were a sorry display by a desperate citizen. He should have followed the precedent set many years ago.....on how to make a dignified exit from the office of US President. Over the years he has not showed respect for the office he held. It should be no surprise that he continued to be concerned for only one thing.....HIMSELF.

I am equally disgusted with the net works for making the President of the United States share the limelight, by switching back and forth with their coverage to include Clinton's childish display. I think when President Bush went to the motorcade for the parade, it was disgusting that the TV screen was split. One side, President Bush, the other side, Bill Clinton climbing the stairs of the waiting plane. He should have already been long gone to NY. Shame on CNN for their broadcast choices.
