KymarFye: Thanks for the attempt to intercede. I do believe the markets are manipulated. If it were easy for an outsider to prove, it would not exist.

This subject always seems to attract at least one person that feels the need to go beyond making an argument.

Each person must make up his or her own mind about the subject. as it is a belief I could never prove on my own. Just as I preferred to side with the Vietnam Vets regarding Agent Orange rather than the establishment, I prefer to not take the word of someone that makes a living as in insider in the securities industries.

This is a belief I decided long ago is not a subject I want to try to sell to others. I apologize to all that read my posts for letting my beliefs on the subject creep back into my day to day posting. I will try to not let it happen in the future. But I will always "Think Like A Criminal" when trading...<g>

Regards,
LG

Kymar ..... Of course, "think like a criminal" could also mean something much simpler - as in, if it's sitting there and you like it, go ahead and take it without a second thought. I don't think that's what LG means primarily, but it does back-test well.

Just being flippant now :) ... I believe LG said "think like a criminal" and not "act like a criminal". Its reasonable to believe this means we make estimates of what criminal actions might be and then take our own actions, however they may be characterized.

More seriously, I very much enjoyed your reasoned and well-articulated view, having a small association with synchronicity (as recognized by Jung) and distributed systems. When one looks for meaning, there is some truth to everything, and given that beings function by "manipulating" their environment (perhaps, to repeatedly reassure themselves that they are "in control" of their destiny) I have little doubt that LG is right. And LPS5 is also right in that there is difficulty showing this ... for a variety of reasons, not the least of which include the possibilities that many depend on it for their livelihood, and the difficulties we may have in arriving at some consensus on every form of inappropriate manipulation.
