Haven't the US and British governments (among others) been doing large sales of gold regularly for quite some time (with no end in site), thus damaging any real upside potential?

George S. Cole: I believe that manipulation occurs at many different levels in the markets. However, as an outsider I cannot prove my beliefs. So, it will do this thread nor me any good to have an exchange regarding it. Whenever the discussion comes up, it always attracts someone to the thread to do more than just disagree. For this reason alone, I made a decision to not discuss my beliefs on the subject long ago. If I just stick to it…<g>…not because I am afraid of being made to look wrong. I know supporting my belief is next to impossible as an outsider. So it would be an effort in futility. I have found trading with this understanding for me to be very beneficial over the years. Each investor must make up his or her own mind based on their experiences and knowledge base. While I have no problem with LPS5 arguing his point, I do have a big problem with him resorting to insults. Regards, LG
