Lynn, I can't get into Javatrader either. I never have a problem during market hours but I do have problems at night (usually after 9PM PST) and sometimes on the weekends. If you are trading from a home computer you probably do not have a firewall, unless you installed a software firewall, which you would probably know. Go to File/Options in MIRC. Once in the options window, click on the Firewall option under "Category" (on the left) and make sure the box at the top "Use SOCKS firewall" is not checked. Now click on "Connect". Click on the ADD button on the right. In the IRC Server box type: Washington.DC.US.Othernet.org In the Description box type: DC IRC In the Group Box type: Othernet Click the Add Button Now make sure the DC IRC server is selected, if not click on the down arrow and find it. Now click on the "Connect to IRC server" button. You should get connected. I am connected there now. Alex
