Do you think flap is really a shop steward?

I think he is a sociology professor.

Re: "Maybe you had better watch what you say":

Haqi: Now, really. Should one indeed "watch what one says" on a worthless public forum such as this? Isn't the purpose of a thread such as this to vent one's frustrations, so as not to "take it out" on one's dog or children or wife instead?

In order for there to be a lively discussion on this thread, by necessity there have to be divergent viewpoints. (JLA recognized that when he set up this thread.) In other words, things get a little boring when everyone agrees with one another, correct? I certainly don't think that people post here simply to have their views buttressed. No, I think they enjoy a lively sparring match once in a while. Don't you agree with me?

Similarly, there was no need for your "back to your hole under your rock" comment. All I was doing was giving James M. a little dose of his own medicine. He had no qualms about using obscenities or vulgarities, so I just had to point that out without responding on his level.

No, HQ, I think the answer lies in exploring differing viewpoints and developing a more relaxed, liberal attitude with those whose viewpoints don't coincide with your own.

Last time I checked, this still was a free country.

(For the record, I'm not a shop steward; I'm an executive committee member. Just won my first skirmish with management. Chalk one up for the working men and women.)

Adios.
