Three posts in 22 days. Obviously, WHAT I'm posting is registering with you. Quality as opposed to quantity is what they call it. You also should try to post less and say more, as opposed to responding to people with posts such as "You've got that right!!!!" Re: "What do you have in common with the common working man?" I AM "the common working man." I am he. I am the Real Deal. I work for a living and soap up with Lava after the whistle blows. By the way, I have yet to see or read about another member of the AFL-CIO post on this thread, which is dominated by prostate-challenged retirees, ex-military types with no more battles to fight such as the Majordomo kkvkc (where has he been?) or engineering jocks with all the smarts and writing skills of a pimply 15-year-old. It's a shame that colleges don't require techies to write a five-page paper from time to time.: Introduction, Argument, Ending. Then they would then have minimal skills in "making sense" on this thread. Jimmy Me Boy is a techie, I believe. My company is eager for me to work more hours so as to increase the profits of the few millionaires who control the stock and people who are rich because of their birthright, but I am hesitant to do so. No, I may spend more time posting here. I am getting up in age a bit (I turned 50 recently) and I have to spend a little more time than usual on my union executive committee duties, fighting for the common working man and woman, who, by the way, ALMOST gave Al Gore the Electoral College win. However, already I'm batting 1.000 for the new year in tiffs with management. The recount in Florida will show that Al Gore actually won the election, as opposed to D-Dubya-I, the President-Select, now the President of the U.S. of A. God Save the President and help the country. The King JLA realizes the importance of a "balanced" thread. That is why he and I are friends. We even have exchanged private SI missives. The GWB thread last July was the sole domain of the prostate-challenged Old Farts Klub, then a few people like myself and Murali and Kenneth and the Good Doctor enlightened the thread, and it became a center of slightly-to-the-left erudition and thinking. Then, around Christmas, the thread became overrun with dumb people, and I said adios for a while.
