Marijuana has tons of positive side effects. It is excellent for nausea, to name only one of it's properties. Heroin is the best pain killer there is- the BEST. If you look at the damage alcohol causes (did you see the crime stats I posted? In domestic violence alcohol was involved in 3/4 of the homicides) I do not think it is a lesser evil- I don't believe you can prove that it is- that is merely your opinion.

Nikita, do you have any idea how many people die from alcohol? As opposed to, say, marijuana, which has killed approximately 0 people, from direct effects, anyway?
