well i haven't looked lately at the number of family farm closures in the last number of years of the "boom".....but i would think even with sub'dies it's a depression of sorts....and even corp farming hasn't kept the price of food from going up recently.... where i am i'd say all meat items alone have risen well over 20 % in the last 9 months..... and i firmly believe.....even if there's no basis....produce will double just on public acceptance of news stories....meaning....they will accept the increases..... btw.. i live in a place where the cost of living...particularly in regard to food.... has been dirt cheap compared to friends in the rest of the country.... guaranteed, we've become more selective in our food buying habits in the last year.... sky rocket comparatively speaking..... is the best description for it. anyway... i'm probably imagining it..... regards J
