Jan. 20 — As George W. Bush is inaugurated as president, 59 percent of Americans approve of the way he has handled his presidential transition and 59 percent say they approve of his cabinet choices, a new NEWSWEEK poll says. Yet outgoing President Bill Clinton gets higher marks than his successor: A full 68 percent of those polled say they approve of the way Bill Clinton has handled his job as president.
