Jiang can issue all the decrees he wants but he has little ability to enforce them if the military is unwilling to give up its perquisites. There may be some individual cases. I don't think you can use the phrase "heavily involved". If you can't trust Jiang or Zhu, whom would you trust ? Falun Gong leader ? You also have to understand money is scarce abroad, because money is continually flowing into US and that makes lives in other countries miserable. Take a look at some Europe countries, Japan, South Korea, Philipine. I certainly don't like to see people doing smuggling operation. It is just because people want to make money whatever however they can to survive in their own rights. That's life! Look at the stock market. Why you see the ask & bid prices spreading so widely ?? I don't like it too. My point is if Jiang and Zhu are tackling the problem, they are at least solving the problem with iron fisks. What other solutions do you have in your mind ? regards, Q
