Baldy: I must ask you a stupid, naive question: Does your life in Alaska remotely resemble the 'Northern Exposure" TV show? I love that moose. And the 'liberal' theology, I would call it ... or is it 'metaphysics?' ...And while I'm at it, I'm writing a eulogy for a dog not yet dead... May I ask you kind folks much smarter than me if anything exists along the lines of "this golden joy?" Like, Shakespeare, etc ... She's a yellow Lab and I'm going to have a 'wake' for all of us 'survivors' (humans <g>) when she goes 'to the Great Beyond.' ... music I'll play within the eulogy will include 1812 Overture (just the opening ....1:00 min or so); and "Nessun Dorma" (Luciano Pavarotti) as well as "Ave Maria," also L. Paravotti) ... You people are so much more 'literary" than me ... is there anything you could direct me to that would be 'spiritual' about joy, etc, regarding the spirit of a dog 'passing on?' <g> ... but I'm being serious here ...
