"He has got a few years left, and a natural inclination to ignore the law." Bland was thinking about this himself yesterday. Given Clinton's past predilections, it seems reasonable to expect he will breaking the law somewhere, somehow, sometime within the next twelve months at a minimum. Couple this with secret service protection while he is doing so. An interesting scenario. Will he simply be shielded for the sake of expediency, or held publicly accountable at that point? Bland's jaded fear is that even the Bush camp may collude to shield him...unless the nature of the offense (whatever it may be) and the circumstances of it being brought to light simply make it untenable to do so.
