I was alerted to the post at the bottom and some others like it. For the record I don't use pot- and although I tried it a couple times when I was 14, because I have asthma and, apparently a lack of receptors for THC, marujuana is not something I have ever been tempted to use. I don't drink either. I take no hard drugs, do not smoke, and don't drink coffee or tea. It is interesting that people assume, because I have compassion for people locked away in prison because they used a drug similar to alcohol, that I am a pot head. Ground Zero has compassion for men who have been raped- following this reasoning I should assume Ground Zero has been raped. I certainly hope he hasn't been.

Calling someone a pot head if they are not one is libel. The usual remedy for libel is monetary damages. Not that, of course, Thurston would ever call someone he didn't know a pot head. I would hope even a RWE would have more sense than that.

GZ,

Good timing!

I have very strong views on the drug war. Even if my solutions may not be entirely
sound, I am willing to accept a certain amount of drug use, if and only if, we can be
certain it will protect/limit future generations of children from exposure. My flawed
arguments have been presented here, and are in no way a complete solution.

I just know that our current efforts are failing, and as long as the big money is possible,
more kids will have drugs "promoted" to them.

X's statements about the "good" from pot are the classic sign of the pothead. The really
sinister thing about pot is that the change it effects is so subtle that they don't even
know it is happening. An objective witness can see it quite clearly. All IMO, but I have
watched good friends destroy themselves. More than one or two I am afraid to say.

I am just waiting for that idiot to make a positive statement about crack. I am going to
read over there for the next week or so. I might even start a thread where we RWET
can post a response to their posts and just link the original.

Hi X,

I didn't like what Jackson did, in having a baby out of wedlock, particularly since , as a member of the clergy, he holds himself as a moral lodestone. But what are we gonna do? Discount everything he's ever said and all his years of service? He's admitted the child is his and has pledged to take emotional and financial responsibility for her.

I'm trying to think of a slogan for this proposed masturbation program.

"With a Little Help From My Hands"
"O Come All Ye Faithful"
Masturbation Wins Hands Down"
