Shorts = creatures of habit. Those who haev made a lot shorting techs lately are having a hard time kicking the habit. This will cost them money. I see lots of posts on YHOO who are desperately short and will and bash all day long to try and deny the reality that the stock they're shorting is on its way up and no one is selling (yet). Just like many of us got addicted to the long side last year these shorts are undergoing severe withdrawl symptoms. Many of them will give back all their gains and more in the process, just as I did last year from the long side by refusing to believe what was happening.
