PARTICULARLY when i am eating. food is very important to me, and when in a restaurant, i am not shy to let people know that their smoke bothers me. if i find out that the place is "non-smoking" i will call the maitre d' or sommelier and ask that the cigarettes be extinguished. 90 % of the time i am successful the other 10 % i make it so uncomfortable for the smokers, that i am sure their cigarette cannot possibly taste the same --(nor my food either)--. looking at the current cost of both, imprisonment and the future effect that this will have on society... i am very surprised that during the 1960's there were so many protests about the war n Vietnam, yet... nothing really serious is been done about the so call war on drugs...? yet it has already had more casualties than the Korean (54 K) and Vietnam (58 K) wars, which it has had well over 120 K casualties...AND COUNTING. this is a situation where all the patriots should come out and be ready to serve for their country... and i mean NOT to start firing. this 'war' is not going to be won by bullets or precision weaponry, but can only be won by information and education. information that should be distributed nation wide about the real effects and consequences it is already having in this society, and then education of the children. in this respect. after all... this war is being fought in this soil... not 12,000 miles away in a place where no many in this country gave a damned about their particularly political tendencies of that country yet, in this "war", and at the rate we are going, anyone of us (or our relatives), could be affected one way or the other, any minute. ah yes... and inevitably i would have to touch on this... and where are the venerated religious institutions ? and their double might ? yes... monetary and PRAYING power. what the hell ? i guess the gods must be deaf ! because they aren’t listening... I CAN"T HEEAAAARRR YOUUUU ! legalization is a must; it will not be solved any other way. no one can argue with numbers, they are there in black and white for all to see. unless i am looking at "cooked" numbers, these statistics, as you said, are horrible. frankly i do not see the difference between getting drunk like a skunk watching a super bowl, or stoned at a party listening to music... the difference is one can end up in jail for getting stoned
