The link I placed in the kitchen bears out what you say, Gary, about Europe having a stronger position in stem cell research. I had not understood the implications involved regarding abortions. Here is a link to a very lengthy paper released by the American Assoc for the Advancement of Science and Institute for Civil Society on the ethical debate surrounding this research. I do not know what the political bent of the association is. aaas.org I just now, as I was typing this, heard a brief report on CNN on this very subject. This could get interesting.
