Well, my suggestion is to call the help desk and see what they say about why these symbols aren't available for trading. I suspect that if you want to trade them they will be added. "afterhours where in general other rules seem to apply" It is true my broken trade was during 'regular' hours. "The list of stocks available to borrow appears to be even poorer than Dart's. " Datek must have improved their list since last I looked. IB will let you borrow stocks that are below 5, I managed to short VVUS at 3ish for a daytrade a couple of weeks back. I see it is not on the list now but PCLN is. Regards, barb
