Not a friend, a former worker. I said it sounded like "a really, really bad idea" when I heard her talk about it. If it was a friend I would have intervened, maybe. But to whom and on what grounds? This is no different than cigarets to me! It was somebody who was looking into alternative mechanisms for enlightenment. As a social libertarian and a believer in personal rights of expression, I consider this a choice (albeit a really, really bad one) - and, BTW, not mine. Hey, I wouldn't remove a chip of my skull for any reason outside of life-threatening tumor, but that's me. What are we going to do, make a law against it?
