Greenie testifying for a tax cut?! Maybe we had better re-examine what is known vs what is expected. It still may not add up to a 50 point this month, but I am now hearing discussion of two 50's....no one knows, but either way I am not going to fight the Fed...

WOODS: President Bush did find some support for his tax cut package. Republican Phil Gramm and Democrat Zell Miller introduced a $1.3 trillion tax cut package based on Bush's campaign promises. Some analysts say Fed Chairman Alan Greenspan, who has pushed for paying down the debt instead of cutting taxes, may now endorse a tax cut. He testifies before the Senate Banking Committee this week. Gramm, Bush's key tax cut supporter, says Greenspan already favors tax cuts over spending increases.
