rick on the contrary, your memory was pretty good. i don't know if you'd read the tip i posted on using the ctrl key way, way back on 01/09/01 <g3> .... #reply-15147012 .... but that's what dummies daily suggests doing. i knew that tip sounded familiar, but couldn't bring it up out of the dark recesses of mem recall. bosquedog was on it, though, and pm'd me with the post number. so who knows why the ctrl key tip doesn't work for fred. shrug. it works for some. now my curiosity is piqued, and i'll have to try it myself. :) mark
