I was under the impression this was the place where the "afflicted" could go without shame.

My attempted point was that Greenspan had two problems at the beginning of 2000, excessive money supply from Y2K and high interest rates in a slowing economy, that could not be solved at the same time. He chose to bring supply back into line first, then go after interest rates.
