Yeah, now he says DELL is focusing AWAY from desktop which only comprises 25%(I think he said)of their sales, and sees storage and service, which he says DELL participates in, as being profitable. Says servers are where to be. As usual, he just goes with the flow, radiates insincerity, and smiles. Too bad all he can do is talk because HE DOESN'T HAVE THE PRODUCTS, DOESN'T HAVE THE SALES FORCE, AND DOESN'T HAVE THE TECHNOLOGY. The guy coulda made a great living selling knives, encyclopedias, magazines, and vacuum cleaners door-to-door! El

Nightwriter & Others;

You guys are such simpletons! The timing of today's warning by Michael Dell was as plain as the nose on your face. What seems to have missed you wizards is the fact that Michael Capellas got word out to Michael Dell that if he warns tomorrow night and takes the wind out of MC's sales then cpq would take out a contract on MD, burn his house and garrotte his pet beagle. Indeed, rumor has it that a bunch of Argentinian hit-guys, (looking for work after having lost ibm as a customer), showed up in Texas this weekend. In fact, Greene apparently wire-transferred 1/2 of the hit-guys' fee (in Euros - since cpq has more euros than they know what to do with) to a top-secret bank account in Switzerland.

More to the point - will cpq sell off after tomorrow's earnings release or will MC be sufficiently upbeat to allow the stock to sky rocket up to say 20.50? Any thoughts?
