I think you can define liberal and conservative in relational terms.
For example- I think I may be more liberal than you, although you are certainly more liberal than the folks on the RWET, and Ylang may be more liberal than me- although I am not sure about that, and I think Poet and I are about the same amount of liberal.

In that case the distinction may be applicable to the LWP, but hardly to the annex. On the LWP the distinction is subjective - Poet decides whether or not she wants you on her porch. Some find that horrible, but hey, it's her porch....
