jxm i told you that story full well knowing that it might make you feel terrible. i am sorry, my friend. hey! seriously, i think that's way cool that you met chico at the dice table. he shoulda' been betting 10 the hard way (based on his earlier experiences that evening with floyd mayweather). sounds like you had a blast. hopefully you enjoyed the fight even though you wanted corrales to win. a true boxing fan, imo, can appreciate an exceptional performance, even when it comes at the expense of a favorite fighter. that is how i came to love the game of baseball.... having always been a dodger fan, i ultimately came to admire the intensity and desire in the way pete rose played. and even though i hated the 'big red machine', as the reds were known in those days, i had to like rose. that ability to respect athletes who turn in premium performances is what takes sports to new levels. mayweather took boxing to that upper echelon saturday night. he was superb. :) mark
