I can't really gauge the mood, flappy. I never watch local TV news and seldom read the OKC or Tulsa papers. But there is a local chapter of the Free Republic that I was in contact with during the election, I'll run it by em next time I go to their message boards. I didn't have much of a reaction to the story. Gifts of $10,000 are tax free. Keating is really a Washington guy, I can see why he thought there would not be a perception problem. I have a mixed opinion of him. He seems like a decent guy, but he helped to cover up for his FBI pals after the OKC bombing. In the gubernatorial election I voted for Hoppy Heidelberg, the Reform Party candidate.
