A couple of pretty important earnings reports came out last week, and were reasonably positive. ;-}

AMCC hired a new VP of sales, which now has a law suit about some literature from, TranSwitch, a previous employer. The suit involves only the employee, not AMCC.

Applied Micro CFO Bendush Files To Sell 80,000 Shrs

Dow Jones Newswires

WASHINGTON -- Applied Micro Circuits Corp. (AMCC) Chief Financial Officer William
Bendush filed to sell 80,000 common shares of the company, according to a Form 144 released
Monday by the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The shares were to be sold sometime around Jan. 18, according to the filing.

The shares were worth about $7 million on Thursday, given Applied Micro Circuits' closing price
that day of $84.38 a share.

Merrill Lynch & Co. was listed as the broker for the sale.

Based in San Diego, Applied Micro Circuits makes high-performance, high-bandwidth silicon
integrated circuits for communications infrastructure.

A Form 144 allows for the sale of restricted stock, but it isn't a commitment to sell.
